Greek-based Diana Shipping and Korea’s Union Logistics have entered into a time charter contract for a panamax dry bulk vessel, Maera.

The time charter (9-11) months commenced today at a gross charter rate of USD 11,900 per day.

The present deal is significantly higher than the previous USD 8,500 time charter deal the company had with Dutch firm Transgrain Shipping.

The vessel, built in 2013 is slated to earn Diana Shipping approximately USD 3.21 million as per the minimum schedule time charter duration.
