Oslo-listed ship owner and operator Flex LNG took delivery of its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier newbuilding, the Flex Endeavour, on January 9.
Flex Endeavour is expected to commence its time charter with Uniper Global Commodities on January 12, 2018 following crew mobilisation and completion of safety drills.
The company said that USD 105 million of the secured term loan facility was paid out and a further USD 105 million has been pre-positioned for the delivery of sister vessel Flex Enterprise which is scheduled to join its owner on January 11.
“We are pleased to finally take delivery of our first newbuilding and its sister vessel later this week. We are also looking forward to deliver Flex Endeavour to Uniper which is a first class charterer,” Jonathan Cook, Chief Executive Officer, said.
