Freighter Grounded at Papua New Guinea’s Kimbe Port

General cargo ship Jake Vincent Tres ran aground on June 16 while entering Kimbe Port, West New Britain, Papua New Guinea.

The ship, loaded with copra, was refloated and detained for various deficiencies, which assumedly, lead to grounding. The extent of damages of the ship are being assessed.
