With the increasing global restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Palau International Ship Registry (PISR) has announced that all of its ship registration and support services are now available online with immediate effect including online payments.

PISR through its ePISR smart registry already has a significant online presence adds from this week the ability to pay online for all their service. These include registrations, payments for all related matters, certifications and the registry’s full range of ship services which include merchant vessels, yachts, final voyage, wreck removal, crew, bunker and civil liability certificates.

Panos Kirnidis, CEO of Palau International Ship Registry, says the registry has moved quickly to ensure ship owners, managers and operators are supported in a difficult economic period.

“We have now moved all of our services online and at a time of world crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, it is hopefully going to give our ship owners and their staff a safe, secure and fast way to complete their registrations, payments and access our services.  This is a difficult time for everyone, not just those involved in the maritime world, and we all need to protect our employees as well as ensuring business goes on. We have worked hard over the past week to ensure all remaining our services can be accessed online. What we now need to do is work together to keep everyone we know safe and wait for the world economy to kick back into full action. Every bit helps and at PISR we will continue to support our fleet.”
