OOCL announces Operational update for Q4 2019

The Board of Directors of Orient Overseas (International) Limited on Friday (January 24) announced the unaudited operational update of Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) for the fourth quarter of 2019.

For the fourth quarter of 2019 (ended 31st December 2019), total volumes were 4.8% up from the same period last year. Total revenues increased by 2.3% to US Dollars 1,602.8 million.

Loadable capacity increased by 2.6%. The overall load factor was 1.8% higher than the same period in 2018. Overall average revenue per teu decreased by 2.4% compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

For the full year of 2019 (ended 31st December 2019), total volumes increased by 3.8% over the same period last year and total revenues recorded a 5.2% growth. Loadable capacity increased by 4.0%. The overall load factor was 0.1% lower than the same period in 2018.

Overall average revenue per teu increased by 1.3% compared to the same period last year, the company stated.
