Vard to build a second Ship for Coral Expeditions

The Fincantieri subsidiary Vard Holdings Limited (Vard), one of the world’s leading companies for the design and construction of special ships , has signed a contract with the Australian shipping company Coral Expeditions for the design and construction of a second small luxury cruise ship ( expedition cruise vessel ).

The unit will have the name of “Coral Geographer”, twin of “Coral Adventurer” entered in the shipowner’s fleet last April, and its delivery is scheduled for the last quarter of 2020, again in the Vard shipyard of Vung Tau in Vietnam.

As the first unit of the class, “Coral Geographer” will be 93.4 meters long, can accommodate 120 passengers, and will be designed by Vard Design in Norway in close collaboration with Coral Expeditions. The ship will be built to the highest standards of comfort and customer focus.
