London based independent tech innovator LayCan.com has launched in January 2020 the first stage of its free shipping marketplace platform for bulk and break bulk cargoes.
The platform is user-friendly, simple to use and highly efficient. It connects brokers, owners, charterers and forwarders by allowing them to browse, search, post and match their cargoes and open tonnage positions. Highest security protocols protect the smooth data flow and users’ cybersecurity experience. Liquid cargoes and containers are to be added later in 2020.
Next stage, planned to be operational in 2020, includes features such as blockchain-based charter parties and cargo documents. These are now being tested with well know names in the shipping industry. LayCan.com objectives are to deliver personalized solutions to individuals and companies from simple searches to complex all-round solutions based on AI & Big Data, easily accessible and user-friendly.
